Dunbar Rover
An old variety that looks rough and tastes wonderful. bred in 1936 by Charles T Spence of Tynefield Farm. Dunbar and it is rare.
Rover`s are oval shape with white skin. snowy white flesh and medium deep eyes.
The cooking and taste qualities are excellent. The flesh is floury. and they have a pleasant sweet flavour. They make great roasting. baking and mash potato dishes.
It has good all round cooking qualities. definitley one for the connoisser
