This French variety is bred from the ever popular Charlotte and Estima. Like its salad parent it is waxy and delicious boiled or steamed. It produces a good yield of uniform sized tubers and stores for up to 8 months. It is best harvested a little later than most second early varieties but it is worth the extra few weeks wait. Gourmandine won the French growers award for Best Flavour of the Year in 2009. 2012 and 2013!
