British Queen
Over 100 years old & highly prized for its good yields of medium sized tubers. The tubers are dry, floury and very tasty. This potato is at its best when fried, baked or steamed. The high starch levels mean that the flesh tends to break up if boiled in the ordinary way, however, if simmered gently then it produces the most wonderful fluffy mashed potato.
